ExL students walked and ran for the charity of their choice this Saturday at the Human Race in Santa Rosa.

Also when you create an account there are two customizable pages for everyone. There are places to put in pictures that we might not include in the yearbook, like pictures from vacations, personal photos and other things. You can put in as many pictures as you want and treering isn’t charging extra for these pages. If you don’t add pictures to these pages, you will get a standard yearbook without the additional pages.  Again, these pages do not cost extra. While all the yearbooks are ordered separately, they all come in at one time in one shipment. The yearbook committee is trying to find a place to ship them, either to the school or to one of our houses.

Making an account:

1. go to http://www.treering.com/validate

2. enter our private passcode: 1013650325804156

3. click confirm

4. create your account:

• first name

• last name

• email address (this will be your username for signing in)

• create and confirm a password

• birthday (to verify that you are over 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy act)

• select your role, student or parent.

• Click create your account.

5. Claim your student(s) [if you selected student as your role you will not see this step]

• Enter your student name (as you start to type the name, other names will show up)

• If your student is listed click claim

• If your child is not listed click on Student not Listed and enter your student information

• If you have more than one child at the school click the +Add Additional Student button.

6. Add a profile photo (Personally, I don’t think this is necessary and you should be able to skip this step)

7. Find friends, also optional.

8. Purchase your yearbook.

• Choose the quantity of books you’d like to purchase and click select

• Enter your credit card or check information and then click pay and finish to securely complete your purchase. A receipt will be sent to your email.

• **IF YOU WANT A STANDARD YEARBOOK STOP HERE**

Create your 2 custom pages:

1. Welcome to treering! Your first view will be of “this Year’s Ring” your ring is a place where you can store all of your memories.

2. Click add memory to answer the question or select skip question for another one.

3. When you’re ready, click edit on the corner of your book to start editing your custom pages.

4. Now you are in the manage book area. You can add more pages, buy your book and share your pages. (I am unaware if adding pages adds a cost to the yearbook.)

5. You can edit anything on the page by clicking on it and following the menus or click and dragging around the page.

6. Add a memory/

• Add your memories by clicking add a memory from the tray at the bottom of the book.

• Click and drag your memories onto the page.

• If you don’t have any memories yet, click add new memory button in the upper right of the tray.

• Click the corner X to close the add a memory tray

7. Add a photo

• Click add a photo button at the bottom of the book

• To upload new photos from your computer, click the add photo button and select my computer.

• Find the photos from your computer and double click to select. To upload more than one photo, hold down the Ctrl key. When finished, click the save button on the window,

• Select what folder you would like to put them in and if you would like to share the photo with the ret of the school. You can also create a new folder if you want. When finished, click next

• What for the photos to upload then click finish.

• Add your photos into your custom pages

8. your changes are always saved, without having to do anything. When you are finished editing click go back to yearbook.

9. When you are finished set the print ready button to yes

10. You are finished!

****One final note: VERY IMPORTANT****

we need all of the yearbook orders in by APRIL 22, that is very soon. The committee is working hard to get the main yearbook done but we still need pictures from these trips:

• 8th grade Yosemite backpacking: Llamas with Lasers and the Lonkeys (Mr. Nelson’s backpacking group)

• 7th grade Yosemite: ALL Groups. I’m not sure which group was uploaded to phanfare

• Safari West

• Outdoor Ed

We need these pictures as soon as possible! Please email them us at exlyearbook13@gmail.com or give either Deja or Karen a flash drive or cd with the pictures.

On a side note, we are going to be taking solo pictures of everyone on Monday and Tuesday during first period.

• The highest bidder automatically earns a spot
• The next highest three bidders will have the opportunity to match the highest bid and participate in the private outing
• If one of those next three bidders can’t match the bid price, then we’ll keep going to the bidders next in line
• The date of the private outing will be mutually decided by the hosting teachers and winning students

• There will be 4 bids sheets, one for each class; Russotti, Seibel, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade
• Each bidder can add to their classroom bid
• The highest bidding class with win this amazing frozen yogurt party
• The date will be decided by the winning teacher
